The LSU VIS Group is an interdisciplinary research and development team working at the intersection of visualization, interactivity, and simulation. We design, build, and study interactive systems, immersive environments, digital twins, and intelligent simulations that help people understand complex information and explore new possibilities. Our research investigates how meaning, agency, and empathy can inform the ways we see, interpret, and interact with data, environments, and systems.
The LSU VIS Group is interconnected with programs, facilities, and research areas across LSU, including DMAE, the XR Studio, Digital Art, the Digital Twin Core Facility, and CCT, extending the group’s work across teaching, research, production, and technical development.
